What’s New at UpMenu (May 2024)

Content

Welcome to the May edition of ‘What’s New?’ This month, we’re introducing:

  1. New system architecture
  2. Glovo delivery on-demand integration
  3. ItsaCheckmate POS integration system
  4. Six new languages
  5. Eight new website templates
  6. AI Restaurant name generator

1. New system architecture

We’ve updated our system architecture to make navigation more intuitive. With this change, we seek to make our platform easier to operate by making its key features more accessible.

Let’s go over some of the biggest changes that come with this update. To fully explore the new system, go to your Dashboard and switch to the new panel.

1.1. We’ve decided to move the top navigation bar to the bottom left of your dashboard to make it more readable on screens of all sizes. Locations are now found under Settings. Sections relevant to more than one restaurant location now use drop-down menus.

This change was introduced in order to save page space and make it easier to navigate.

1.2. We’ve reorganized the main navigation bar. For example, all reservation settings are now under Reservations, and all online ordering settings are under Online ordering.

1.3. We’ve added a ‘Need help?’ button. Use it to find information regarding the page you are currently viewing or to contact support.

2. Glovo delivery on-demand integration

The integration allows you to sell your food directly from the UpMenu online ordering system and deliver it to your customers using Glovo on-demand delivery. To start using the integration, log in to your UpMenu account, go to AppStore, and scroll down to the Delivery section.

It’s a huge change that will allow new restaurant owners to open their businesses without worrying about building a delivery fleet.

3. ItsaCheckmate POS integration system

Itsacheckmate automates the process of transferring orders received in your UpMenu online ordering system to the restaurant’s main operational system.

ItsaCheckmate also works with other delivery systems like Uber Eats and Grubhub so that you can have all of your services and sales in one place. To start using the integration, log in to your UpMenu account, go to AppStore, and scroll down to the Orders management section.

4. Six new languages

The UpMenu system is now available in six new languages: German, French, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, and Bulgarian.

Customers can now order online in any of the above languages, both from your website and your mobile app. The change should also make navigating the system easier for you and your staff.

To change your system language, click on your restaurant’s logo in the bottom-left corner and continue to languages.

This change, just like any other change we make, was possible thanks to your feedback. Let us know what you think about this change by filling out the form you can find below in the video description.

5. Eight new website templates

This month, we’re introducing eight new templates for:

  • Fast-food restaurants
  • Food trucks
  • Ice cream shops
  • Casual dining restaurants

6. AI restaurant name generator

New restaurant owners can now generate their restaurant names using an AI-based restaurant name generator. To do this, simply go to our restaurant name generator, enter some information regarding your restaurant, and let our generator do the rest.

That’s it for May. Thank you for your continued support and feedback. We hope you’ll find these changes useful. Help us deliver a better product by providing us with your feedback here.

See you next time!
